Moroccan wedding blankets
These wonderful wedding blankets 'Handira' come from the Middle Atlas in Morocco and are a traditional wedding gift. The woollen blankets are embroidered with silver sequins and inter-woven with cotton fringes. The blankets were made for the bride, by her family, to wear as protection from the cold on her journey to the wedding ceremony.
Each blanket is unique and as all our 'Handira' are vintage and they may have slight signs of age. They make a wonderful bedspread or glamorous carpet.
